Answered prayers

I have prayed for both of my children and their salvation for a long time. As I prayed I knew I had a huge responsibility in helping this along as I taught and trained my children in the way of the Lord. It has been so amazing to see God drawing these tender heart toward Himself. One evening this week Shannon went into Caleb's room to say goodnight prayers. When Shannon came out he said that Caleb understands that he is a sinner and needs Jesus Christ to forgive his sins. They prayed together and NOW....both of my children are followers of the Way! We now have the responsibility of discipling them and training them up in the way of the Lord. My prayers won't stop here.....this life we have chosen, the straight and narrow, is a hard and a difficult road to follow. My desire for myself and my children is that when we stand before the throne of God one day...we will hear "Well done good and faithful servant."

Here are some scriptures I will be praying over both of my children as they grow in the Lord....

Lord, let Savannah and Caleb walk before Thee in truth with hearts wholly devoted to you. (1Kings 20:3)

Lord, may Savannah and Caleb seek you with all their heart, soul, and minds.
(Deuteronomy 4:29)

Lord, Help Savannah and Caleb to develop a wise, understanding, and discerning heart to know good and evil. (1 Kings 3:9,12)

Lord, set their hearts to seek and study your word, practice it and teach others.
(Ezra 7:10, Proverbs 4:20,21)

Lord, help my children to watch over their own hearts with diligence, realizing that from the heart flow the springs of life. (Proverbs 4:23)
