Watchin Daddy
One of the greatest things about having a son is watching how they grow. Caleb loves to be around and do things with Shannon. He is so inquistive. Shannon's mom has told me many stories about how Shannon use to take things apart (like her toaster) to see how they worked. Well, that is my Caleb. He wants to understand how everything is put together and what makes it work. I keep my toaster hidden! :) I hope he grows up to be just as amazing as his father and loves the Lord just as his father. Hopefully he will be just as handy as his father too!

Answered prayers
I have prayed for both of my children and their salvation for a long time. As I prayed I knew I had a huge responsibility in helping this along as I taught and trained my children in the way of the Lord. It has been so amazing to see God drawing these tender heart toward Himself. One evening this week Shannon went into Caleb's room to say goodnight prayers. When Shannon came out he said that Caleb understands that he is a sinner and needs Jesus Christ to forgive his sins. They prayed together and NOW....both of my children are followers of the Way! We now have the responsibility of discipling them and training them up in the way of the Lord. My prayers won't stop here.....this life we have chosen, the straight and narrow, is a hard and a difficult road to follow. My desire for myself and my children is that when we stand before the throne of God one day...we will hear "Well done good and faithful servant."
Here are some scriptures I will be praying over both of my children as they grow in the Lord....
Lord, let Savannah and Caleb walk before Thee in truth with hearts wholly devoted to you. (1Kings 20:3)
Lord, may Savannah and Caleb seek you with all their heart, soul, and minds.
(Deuteronomy 4:29)
Lord, Help Savannah and Caleb to develop a wise, understanding, and discerning heart to know good and evil. (1 Kings 3:9,12)
Lord, set their hearts to seek and study your word, practice it and teach others.
(Ezra 7:10, Proverbs 4:20,21)
Lord, help my children to watch over their own hearts with diligence, realizing that from the heart flow the springs of life. (Proverbs 4:23)

What kids do when there are no toys....
They make ant farms!
Caleb is in this stage of wanting to use everything and I mean everything to create something. He won't let me throw coke bottles, newspaper, toilet paper rolls, and anything else that should be going into the trash! About once a week I have to extreme clean his room.
Today he decided to build an ant farm using a 7 up bottle.
He got his sister in on the fun of finding ants!

Even the guards got in on the fun!
So now we have an ant farm in the house. We will see how long they live. :)

Cute sayings
Caleb made the comment tonight at dinner
that if I had eaten spicy food when I was pregnant with him, he would have darker skin!
