We just got back from a week of commissioning activities! It was so busy and wonderful. We had to get up at 3am this morning to get to the airport in time to fly back to Texas. My sweet husband is sleeping (and snoring) next to me as I type. :) I should be sleeping but so many thoughts going through my mind! I think I may have cried three or four times today. It could be lack of sleep, hormones, or just plain scared! I know the Father has called us to this and we are going to be obedient to His calling in our lives, but there are so many emotions to go through! If you have never been to a missionary commissioning service ...you should! Hundreds came to the front at the end in surrender to THE CALL. All ages, 80 year old down to teens! It was the most beautiful thing seeing these people surrendering to go and carry the message out! I had the most amazing blessing meeting a woman that was 94 and was a retired missionary. In my mind I thought she must have served years ago. Oh no! She went to seminary at the age of 77 after the death of her husband and served in Africa. She was there to cheer us on! What a testimony. I could go on and on about this week, but I won't. I will end with this...
Psalm 117
1-2 Praise God, everybody! Applaud God, all people! His love has taken over our lives; God's faithful ways are eternal. Hallelujah!
