Outside my window...The sun is shining!!! It has been raining here so much and boy do I miss the sunshine. My clothes miss the sunshine too!
I am thinking...how much fun it has been having a toddler around the house the last couple of days.
I am thankful for...I am thankful my kids are out of the toddler stage and we can just borrow toddlers to enjoy for awhile! ;) I am thankful for my sweet family the Lord has blessed me with.
From the learning rooms...Home school is going wonderful! We had a really good week. We started so early that we took Friday off for a holiday. That was nice. Today I have to get busy making their plans for the next couple of weeks. I use an excel sheet I found at this
site and it works just perfect for us.
From the kitchen...not a lot going on in there. I need to get motivated and do some cooking this weekend. Cinnamon rolls have been calling my name for some time.
I am wearing...an orange kurta (shirt that covers my backside) and my most favorite comfortable brown pants(I have had them for 5 years and hope they never wear out)
I am creating...I am not in a creating mood...but an thinking about going through my photos and getting a few framed. Framing is so cheap here!
I am going...to enjoy this day and spend some time with my Jesus.
I am reading...Finally finished 1 Kings and now onto 2 Kings. I am previewing a book for Savannah. It is from the Life of Faith Series. I am learning that I have to preview all her books before she reads them. We have had to explain prostitution and a few other things I would rather not, because the books looked good on the cover. Preview is the best policy. Plus it is more fun to discuss the books when I have read them too!
I am hoping...to have some details and answers about our future really soon! I am not so good at waiting.
I am hearing...A sweet little girl sing, and the Mickey Mouse Club on TV and Caleb talking about Xbox 360. How he wants some sort of gaming thing. He really wants a Nintendo DS but Hubby and I both agree that he is really too young and we would rather him be reading than playing games. We have discussed getting a WII that we can all do together, but are really undecided about that too. We want to encourage relationships with others rather than allowing him to seclude himself from others to be absorbed into a game. It is really all he talks about anymore and so that makes it hard to say no. I have reminded myself that God says no to us sometimes when he knows what we want isn't in the best interest of us. Even when we don't understand. Parenting...so hard at times!
Around the house...it is a mess...but any minute I think a wave of motivation will come over me to clean it up. I will just sit here enjoying my Saturday morning until that happens though!
One of my favorite things...Saturday mornings with nothing scheduled for the day!
A few plans for the rest of the week: Church tomorrow...home schooling...I hope to get out little and do some shopping. Not sure what the week with bring! Living here you learn to plan one day at a time...plans change all the time.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
Memories!!
