Too Late for this Year!

I stumbled upon this really cool nativity craft. I so wish I had found it early. I would have had both of the kids make one for their rooms. I am sharing it and hopefully next year will remember this one. :)

Christmas 2009

This is only the second Christmas away from our family. It is always so hard to be away from your family during the holidays. We are so very thankful for friends that have become family to us here. We made it back from our "unplanned crazy" trip just in time for Christmas! Christmas Eve we celebrated with another family here and had a great time playing games and eating good food. I wanted to spend some time making Christmas cookies with Little Lady and Little Man on this day and we did accomplish this!


The kids slept until 8:30 on Christmas morning!!! How many kids do you know that sleep in on Christmas! Once they woke up they came and snuggled in bed with us. The best Christmas gift ever! Then we opened presents....


We also spent some time talking with family on skype. Below is Little Lady talking with her cousin in Texas.


Later that afternoon we spent time with "family" eating a somewhat traditional turkey dinner. They didn't have cornbread dressing but the turkey was good. :)



That night we made what we hope to be an annual tradition....whole wheat waffles with whipped topping, Christmas sprinkles, fresh fruit and syrup.


Little Man got a science kit for Christmas...hence the goggles. :)
