Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Heb 4:16)
The way we travel is quite an adventure everyday! We take an auto rickshaw pretty much everywhere we go. We have a bus stop close to our house so the autos hang out right close to pick up those who need a ride after the bus. A month or so again we had an auto rickshaw wreck where a motorcycle ran out in front of us and our driver didn't stop! Needless to say, it scared us to death and we were definetaly counting our blessings that day. Yesterday we wanted to go to the other side of town to hang out with some friends while Shannon had language class. We had three autos turn us down, and finally one agreed to take us for the meter price. Bless his heart, he had auto that was on its last wheel! It took us 30 minutes to go half way and we should have been at our destination in 30 minutes. Finally on a busy highway he pulled over and it just died. He tried and tried and tried to get it started but no such luck! Another friendly auto rickshaw saw what was happening and pulled over. He was so nice, he agreed to take us the rest of the way for the meter price! This man was no ordinary auto driver...he was cool! He had corn rolls and long hair! It was hilarious. His auto rickshaw was decked out too. He had a cd player and larger speakers in the back. We were jammin on our way to our friends!
We have learned to just trust and rejoice in the Lord in all circumstances, because he always meets our needs. Not only does he meet our needs, but sends us the coolest driver in South Asia!
